許多台灣創業者積極反省資本主義全球化所帶來的缺失，顛覆過去創業就要「做到大，賺最多」的巨型迷思，以改造社會為己任，不將獲利視為企業唯一道德，還創造出各種「做好事也能賺大錢」的獨特經營模式；在「產業、消費、社會」三個介面中，尋找共榮多贏的新可能。

根據學界統計，目前台灣廣義型的社會企業超過5,000家，其中近200家獲利穩定並略具規模。這些新創業家懷抱的理想是什麼？台灣如何成為社會企業的沃土？
